Update to Finalised Idea- thoughts/notes
Not just a solo anymore. 2 solos with 2 characters. Then come together for a duet.
3 act structure:
- person 1 does one part
- person 2 does another part -------> in monologue it's like 2 separate identities, characters even
- comes together for duet--> realisation that one and the same, mirror, make contact, when connect it's seamless, no friction
Solos, although solo, are against each other- physical distinction in terms of props (mis en scene) and in dance
NO MONOLOGUE/DIALOGUE
more interesting/impressive to express narrative visually- 'show don't tell'
Will also add in cuts to the 'reality' throughout film, rather than just at the end: 3rd character, 'me', the 'reality'. No coming out to specific person, more the 'self-acceptance' train of thought/narrative
- Classic deep, reflective, mirror shot
- Applying makeup (multiple shots)
- Putting earrings in, jewellery on...
- Fussing with hair
- Looking out window (at someone coming back maybe)
- Pacing around
